For example, if you take a top server with 320 GB of disk, 24 GB of RAM and 12 vCPU for 14.79 rubles per hour and turn it on only on weekdays for 9 hours, then you will spend about 2660 rubles per month ( not counting disk space and IP fees). This is about three times less than the full cost of the server per month with constant use.

In addition to the standard rates in REG. RU has a «Dedicated cloud» line. Here you will get virtual processor cores that can be loaded at 100%. They cost more: from 5.03 to 29.73 rubles per hour, and all the same features are available on them as on standard tariffs. Dedicated Cloud servers are located on separate physical machines with fewer VPSs, so their disk performance is higher.

How to order a server and connect to it

The ordering process is extremely simple: you can handle it, even if you have never used hosting or VPS before.

Step 1. Go to the REG website

On the Cloud Servers page, you can learn more about the features of the service, use cases, and immediately select the desired configuration and tariff.

Step 2. Select configuration and pattern

To order a server, you need to select the operating system, template and tariff. For example, if you want to start a Django project, you can order a ready-made template with this framework. Choose a tariff based on the size of your project — for the first time, you can take the youngest, and then increase it if necessary. If you wish, activate the backup service.

Step 3. Order a server and replenish the balance

Click on the «Order server» button.

You will be taken to your personal account, where you need to replenish the balance of your cloud account in order for the server to start working. This can be done using a bank card or one of the payment systems. Click on the «Pay» button and replenish the balance by at least 100 rubles (REG. RU condition, which is valid for servers with hourly billing).

After replenishing the balance, you need to wait about a minute while the server is being created.

Step 4. Connect to the server

Step 5. Check that everything works
